Our client, a 491-bed acute
care facility is seeking a seasoned Director of Case Management
to intensify the focus on quality care through management
of resource consumption, care coordination and discharge planning.
The facility, part of a proprietary health system, is rated
among the company’s top three hospitals in employee satisfaction
scores and was awarded accreditation with commendation, from
JCAHO in the last two surveys that offer this distinction;
the most recent survey earned the hospital a score of 98.

Leading a department of 14
FTE’s including RNs and Social Workers and working closely
with the newly appointed Physician Advisor, the Director of
Case Management will be the conduit through which medical,
clinical and ancillary staff are infused with a renewed sense
of energy to achieve quality in resource utilization and care
coordination. The Director will also be the impetus
for aligning length of stay with benchmark norms, through
an empowered staff. And, of course, the Director will
be responsible for development and management of a department
budget, policy and procedure and interdepartmental relationships. |
Top candidates for this
position must have a Bachelors degree and RN designation;
a Masters degree is preferred. Additionally, the candidate
must demonstrate success in a role managing a comparably
large, complex staff in a medical-surgical hospital, including
program development and innovation in utilization review,
care coordination and discharge planning. Too, the
top candidate must be of a proactive style and bring organizational
sensitivity with which to facilitate greater commitment
to achieving measurable performance enhancements.

in a preferred location in Florida, is a community of approximately
272,000 people, on the Gulf Coast. With top public
