client, a Health System in Central Texas is seeking a professional
to facilitate the achievement of quality in performance, and
patient and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the
Chief Executive Officer and leading a staff of four, the Director
of Consumer Affairs will work throughout the System to develop
and implement Performance Improvement plans by enabling collaboration
in diverse groups, empowering individuals and creating credibility
for the process through on-going support.
Building
on a clinical background that will lend empathy, the Director
of Consumer Affairs must be skilled in evaluating satisfaction
survey data and interpreting such for those in the best position
to impact performance. Geared towards "ahead of
the curve" approaches, the Director will have demonstrated
capabilities in developing process analyses and in creating
action plans to effect measurable results (TQM/CQI).
Success in facilitating multidisciplinary teams in not only
root cause analysis, but also in establishing standards, time
lines and accountability is essential. To be successful
in this role, the Director must bring superlative written
and verbal communications skills as well as a professional
demeanor and team-building skills that engender trust, camaraderie
and enthusiasm. Along with clinical training, a minimum
of a Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
Five years |
in healthcare
management supported by prior TQM/CQI implementation experience
is also required.
The
System includes the flagship 400-bed Medical Center with a
Level II Trauma Center, a Family Health Center and several
managed care products. The hospital has earned a good
reputation and has identified Centers of Excellence including
cardiovascular services, a family childbirth center, the Clara
and Harlon Fentress Cancer Center and a CARF accredited inpatient
rehab unit. It also has strong diagnostics including
CT scanners, MRI and nuclear medicine. The hospital
is also a teaching facility that supports the McClennan County
Family Practice Program, with 36 residents annually, as well
as clinical programs in nursing, radiology and clinical pastoral
care. The School of Medical Technology at the hospital provides
quality education for those interested in pursing a career
in medical technology.
