Medical College Physicians is seeking a Senior Director, Patient Care Delivery to enhance and improve the patient care experience primarily focused in the ambulatory care environment. This newly created position will be pivotal in supporting the clinical care enterprise in finding synergy among the academic department efforts in patient care delivery. By working with the 18 academic departments, the Senior Director will support process improvement in patient satisfaction, clinical efficacy and community physician involvement. The Senior Director will work to create councils and systems that involve senior administrative and medical leadership from all departments as well as support functions, in identifying metrics for performance in key areas as well as facilitating the development of action plans to achieve benchmark standards. The senior director will also hold operational responsibility for occupational medicine, medical records, hospitality/medical assistants, and ambulatory service quality, staffed by approximately forty-seven staff. This position will also network with hospital based clinical delivery leadership to promote the continuum of care between the inpatient and ambulatory environments.
Successful candidates for this role must have a minimum of eight years experience in an administrative capacity in academic healthcare/large physician practice setting. A clinical background/academic preparation/experience is preferred. Additionally, candidates should bring demonstrated success in a role requiring facilitation, collaboration and integration of multiple constituencies from all points in the patient experience; experience in the consulting arena is highly valued.
