Our client, a 146-bed,
acute care hospital with a regional dominance in women's and
children's services, completes 250-300 surgeries monthly,
and operates a busy med/surg unit. Sixty to seventy
percent of the hospital's patients are mothers, newborns and
children. The hospital delivers more babies than any other
provider in the region, and boasts a Level III NICU
supported by a full time perinatologist and two neonatologists,
as well as, one of the best invitro fertilization
labs.
The
hospital is currently seeking a Chief Nursing Officer to take
over a successful nursing function, moving it to the
next level of excellence. Leading a total staff of
200, the CNO will take the leadership role following a successful
JCAHO survey with a virtually vacancy-free team. Moving forward,
the CNO will continue to lead successful initiatives
in quality of care that represent the foundation of hospital
operations. Too, the CNO will take advantage of
excellent tools in data measurement to reach new standards
of efficiency in nursing care delivered. Of course, the CNO
will be the lead innovator in nurse recruitment and retention
efforts and plays a key role in physician relations. |

while the public education systems earn some of the highest
scores in the state. Two universities offer Bachelor through
Doctorate degrees. The local civic center brings new events
to the community every week. The area is also home to several
minor league sports teams, a museum and nationally recognized
theatre. |
