The

client, a hospital pharmacy management company, was founded
in 1998. Since then, it has grown to serve 20 hospitals in
seven states. The company has been ranked as one of the 100
fastest growing companies in Houston, Texas since 2003. Among
its numerous honors is recognition as an “Enterprise
Champion,” awarded to four leading businesses from among
the Houston Small Business 100 that are recognized for their
benefits to employees, company culture and service to the
community. In 2004, the company earned the Ernst and Young
“Entrepreneur of the Year” award. Now in its 9th
year in business, it is moving from a start-up model to that
of an established organization.
Differentiating
itself in the hospital pharmacy management industry through
its guarantee of key service indicators like nursing satisfaction
and regulatory compliance, its Value Contract and guaranteed
cost savings, the company provides turnkey pharmacy management,
incorporating existing GPO contracts and top pharmacy managers.
The company places equal importance on patient health and
nursing satisfaction as well as on cost savings. Among the
company’s current clients are hospitals ranging from
20 to 1,300 beds. It takes pride in the fact that 99% of clients
sign continuation agreements after initial contracts are completed.
Our
client now seeks a Chief Operating Officer to move Operations
Managers to greater levels of autonomy to improve front-line
customer service. The Chief Operating Officer should bring
skills to mentor and empower field staff to conduct day-to-day
business, affording the COO greater opportunity to develop
new product offerings and operating support systems as well
as enhancements to existing products and relationships. |
By
creating a continuous learning environment for field staff,
the Chief Operating Officer will be essential to building
a stronger organization within which staff at all levels
can be held to higher levels of accountability.
