Director of Regulatory Compliance and Privacy Officer

The Organization

Our client, a physician practice group in Texas, has over 230 MD and DO physicians in 29 specialties. This year our client has a budget approaching $75 million and the staff saw more than 600,000 patient visits in 32 clinic locations. The practice has experienced significant growth over the last two years as it has moved to operate as a multi-specialty group practice model.

As our client transitions to become a pre-eminent provider, new leadership is sought in the area of regulatory compliance to assure the organization remains compliant with all rules and regulations pertaining to the provision of, and reimbursement for, the delivery of patient care. The Director will be responsible for the development and delivery of supportive employee training, effective audits and annual risk assessment and compliance plan development. The new Director will be essential in working with the IT group on the new EMR installation.

Our client is part of a larger health science center that includes a state-supported medical school which serves as the cornerstone of the institution. The school has been named as one of the nation's top 50 medical schools for primary care medicine by U.S. News & World Report for the last seven consecutive years. Located on a 33 acre campus, our client is committed to providing Texas and the nation the highest quality health professionals. Nineteen faculty members from the physician practice group were named Top Docs for 2006.
